My name is Naama and I am teaching Remedial Pilates and Bellydance Classes for the over 50`s in Orpington. I use the knowledge I have of anatomy and physiology to help my students to improve their posture, balance and strength through dancing. I see a clear connection between Pilates and Bellydance and use this to my advantage. While we are dancing in class I pay attention to the alignment of the back, shoulders and knees to make sure we are dancing safely.
I have been dancing for 9 years and I train with Anna Kemper in the Suhaila Salimpur Format. This is a unique training format that prepares the body to perform the highest level of isolation and layering. I teach a fusion style where I take moves from various styles like classic Egyptian, tribal fusion, ballet, contemporary dance etc .
I have been performing in various Bellydance show case events in London, Essex, Portsmouth, Worthing, Hampshire, East Sussex etc. I also give workshops for dancers who wish to improve their technique using body conditioning exercises to improve the muscle control, balance and isolation abilities.
